The next-generation AURIX? increases computing capabilities with a SIMD vector DSP called a parallel processing unit (PPU). The PPU has advantages over traditional CPUs in relation to matrix operation acceleration, data processing, neural network-based algorithms, and high-speed control implementations. This presentation introduces a software ecosystem that supports AUTOSAR and enables high-level programming languages.

The demonstration shows that the PPU:

  • Middleware detects requests by dedicated AUTOSAR stacks and handles prioritized execution
  • All forms of computations are preserved ¨C traditional AMP and SMP
  • They are extended in their topologies by heterogeneous computing
