AURIX? TC39xXE (emulation devices)

A specialized AURIX? TC3xx MCU family with debugging, tracing, measuring, and calibrating capabilities

anchor

Overview

AURIX? TC39x Emulation Devices (TC39xXE) family offers the same feature set as the TC39x standard devices with additional debug and tracing capabilities. The AURIX? TC39xXE supports calibration, rapid prototyping, instrumentation, and debug/emulation. It can emulate both TC39x standard devices (6 CPUs) and TC38x standard devices (4 CPUs).

Key Features

  • Six TriCore? with 300 MHz?(DSP)
  • 16 MB flash with ECC
  • Up to 6.9 MB SRAM with ECC
  • 128x?DMA?channels, GTM,?CCU6,?GPT12
  • 1 GbE, 12xCAN, 2xFlexRay, 12xASCLIN
  • 6xQSPI, 2xI?C, I?S, 2xHSSL, 4xMSC
  • 25xSENT, 4xPSI5, 1xPSI5S, eMMC/SDIO

About

  • 4 MB Extension Memory (EMEM) for calibration and tracing (2 MB)
  • Multi-Core Debug Solution (MCDS): Parallel and time-aligned trace of cores and busses, powerful trigger conditions, on-chip logic analyzer functions
  • Additional DAP interface (DAPE) for connecting a second, independent tool
  • Injector for faults and stress (IFS)
  • Aurora Gigabit Trace (AGBT) support
  • CPUs have full access to all emulation resources, enabling all types of interfaces (e.g., Ethernet) as tool connection

MCDS tracing can be evaluated using the free-of-charge MCDS Trace Viewer tool which comes with the DAS installation (/DAS).

  • Higher software/system quality and faster time-to-market with best-in-class: multi-core debugging and trace, trace-based measurement, rapid prototyping, calibration
  • Scalable tooling options from very cost-effective to highest performance
  • Strong AURIX? TC3xx compatibility: maintains investment in tools and knowledge, early availability of attractive tooling solutions, minimizes risk
  • Different tool combinations due to two DAP interfaces
  • Very cost-effective trace
  • Consistent architecture over the whole family for all packages

AURIX? TC39xXE emulation family is fully compatible with AURIX? TC39x standard devices.?

For AURIX? TC38x systems, consider the following:

Thermal design and power supply must support TC39xXE¡¯s higher power consumption

Software needs to be tolerant to the different CHIPID and JTAGID values

The upper 12 ASCLIN modules (out of 24) of TC38x may not be used

AURIX? development studio
It is a comprehensive development environment, including Eclipse IDE, C-Compiler, Multi-core Debugger, Infineon low-level driver (iLLD), with no time and code-size limitations that enables editing, compiling, and debugging of application code.

AUTOSAR MCAL drivers
Infineon's MC-ISAR?AUTOSAR drivers are based on AUTOSAR-verified technology and comprise components of the Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) in one configuration tool for rapid application development.
