About

ISOFACE? output switches support a maximum nominal load current of 1.2 A per channel. Parallel combinations enable switching loads of up to 2 A, while inductive clamping diodes are already integrated, eliminating the need for additional clamping diodes to absorb commutation power when switching inductive loads.

ISOFACE? output switches offers robust and intelligent galvanically isolated switches, interfacing with microcontrollers or bus- ASICs. The integrated 8-channel high-side power switches are versatile, capable of driving various resistive, inductive, or capacitive loads.

ISOFACE? output switches are extremely rugged, featuring short-circuit protection and temperature monitoring for each switch output. In case of undervoltage, overload, or overtemperature, the microcontroller or bus-ASIC receives diagnostic feedback, and the respective output channel is turned off. Monitoring the load-side supply voltage (Vbb) ensures proper MOSFET output stage switching, automatically turning off outputs if a critical minimum level is reached. The auto-restart function reactivates the output channel when undervoltage, overload, or overtemperature issues are resolved. Additionally, a disable input pin allows asynchronous turn-off of all outputs, enhancing system safety and supporting system maintenance.

ISO2H823V2.5 offers exceptional diagnostics, distinguishing up to five types of events on a channel-level and five additional types on the IC-level. These diagnostic capabilities allow for preventive maintenance and expedite error detection during unscheduled downtimes, reducing the valuable time to system restart.
