About

The ILD8150 80 V DC-DC converter IC drives high-power LEDs in applications operating close to safe extra-low voltage (SELV) limits guaranteeing high safety voltage margin and high efficiency (above 95 percent). The high-side integrated switch allows average currents up to 1.5 A, while overtemperature, overvoltage, and overcurrent protection is guaranteed across the entire operating range. Switching frequency of up to 2 MHz can be reached with a maximum duty cycle of 99 percent. ILD8150 enables hybrid dimming down to 0.5 percent with an input PWM dimming frequency between 250 Hz and 20 kHz. ILD8150 is suitable for LED drivers for medium to ultra-high-power LEDs, tunable white systems, and multi-channel lighting.

ILD8150E is a DSO-8 package solution with exposed pad for higher thermal performance with more than 95 percent efficiency and overtemperature protection. With up to 2 MHz switching frequency and maximum duty cycle of 99 percent, ILD8150E enables hybrid dimming down to 0.5 percent with a PWM dimming input between 250 Hz and 20 kHz.
