LITIX? Linear current source devices enable constant LED brightness with extended LED lifetime for automotive applications. They deliver stable current for power applications from 2 mA to 85 mA independently from supply voltage and LED forward voltage. LITIX? Linear devices offer simple and cost-effective solutions with protection features against short-circuit, overload, and overtemperature.

About

The LITIX? Linear family consists of two devices. The TLD1211SJ is an integrated adjustable constant current source realized in bipolar IC technology. The TLD1211SJ is capable to drive high-current, high-brightness LEDs up to 2.5 A by using additional external output stages as ¡°booster¡° transistors. For LED currents up to 85 mA, the IC can be used as a stand-alone device and requires only one voltage sense resistor as an external component. The second device is the TLE4241GM. The TLE4241GM provides an output current adjustable via different means (SET, PWM, reference resistor) which is kept nearly independent from load and supply voltage changes.

TLD1211SJ features temperature-dependent current reduction which can protect LEDs that are thermally coupled to the IC.
