Overview

The Infineon JL NOR flash family is a standard-mode flash capable of performing simultaneous Read/Write operations with zero latency on two or four separate banks, featuring a x8 and x16 data bus. The Infineon PL NOR flash family is capable of performing simultaneous Read/Write operations with zero latency on four separate banks. The PL family also supports page mode operation for increased throughput and features a x16 data bus.

About

The Infineon JL and PL parallel NOR flash products are AEC-Q100 qualified for the automotive market for temperatures of up to 85¡ãC enabling them to withstand harsh environments. High-density and high-temperature parallel NOR devices support ADAS, chassis, drivetrain, and infotainment systems. Infineon also provides production part approval process (PPAP) support for AEC-Q100 qualified products.

The simultaneous Read/Write architecture provides simultaneous operation by dividing the memory space into separate banks. The device can improve overall system performance by allowing a host system to program or erase in one bank, then immediately and simultaneously read from another bank with zero latency (with two simultaneous operations operating at any one time). This releases the system from waiting for the completion of program or erase operations.
