Beyond the AEC-Q101 qualification, Infineon has adopted a zero-defect strategy for over a decade, based on two pillars. A high automation manufacturing with the world¡¯s first 300 mm high-volume fab for power semiconductors, wafers in microenvironments, and a fully automated transport system achieving particle reduction by elimination of manual handling. Secondly, a stringent qualification and product monitoring process is exercised, with extended qualification tests beyond AEC-Q101 with more stringent pass/fail criteria, dedicated reliability product monitoring at frequent intervals, and dedicated test programs and screening measures in production.
